Forbes is currently accepting nominations for its 2021 „Blockchain 50“ list, find out the details and requirements for candidates here.

The crypto industry has grown so much that now just about anyone can have a basic knowledge of Bitcoin or blockchain. Therefore, as the years go by, more and more institutions and companies are interested in the sector, and develop solutions based on blockchain technology. Proof of this is that Forbes is accepting nominations for its annual „Blockchain 50“ list to recognize the work of companies in this sector worldwide.

„Blockchain 50“: What are the requirements for Forbes nominations?

Considering that this landscape is evolving faster than many would think, Forbes will receive many nominations for this list. However, there are some requirements to be considered.

The only requirements are that the company must be a billion dollar business and be doing significant work in any Bitcoin Cycle application. This includes finding new ways to streamline business processes, eliminate inefficiencies, reduce fraud or simply make an outdated investment in a new form of money.

Previous members of the list include Facebook, which joined the Blockchain 50 list in its inaugural year. This was before their plans to launch Libra, Facebook’s crypto currency, became public.

Square also appeared on this list, but long before they made their historic investment in Bitcoin. At that time, the payment company co-founded by Jack Dorsey, invested in Lightning. Lightning is a payment network designed to make it faster and cheaper to use Bitcoin to buy things.

Other Blockchain 50 companies even include energy giant Royal Dutch Shell and the world’s second largest bank, China Construction Bank.

What is the deadline for applications and nominations?

In order for candidates to be nominated, they must fill out a form for the „Forbes Blockchain 50“ 2021 list, with as much detail as possible. The deadline is Friday, November 6. This means that there are three weeks left and the competition is already increasing.

Once the nomination period ends, a team of Forbes staff reporters with specialties in a wide variety of industries will select the nominees. The idea is to have the most mature blockchain programmes run by the most talented teams in the world. The winners are expected to be revealed in 2021, both in the magazine and online.
